GAAD in Brief: News and Notes From the GAAD Foundation | Issue #2
Foundation Update
Last month, we met a significant milestone when we learned that the IRS granted the foundation the 501(c)(3) status. This gives us official recognition as a charitable organization, and unlocks other opportunities for us as a nonprofit. Thanks again to the folks at the Wheelhouse Group for getting us to the finish line.

Meet Your Board
In each edition, we will spotlight a member of the Board. When asked “What was it that drew your interest in joining the GAAD Foundation Board?” our Executive Treasurer, Chris Gaulin, said the following: “Digital accessibility guidance through the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines has been around for over 20 years. Yet, the state of web and mobile accessibility isn’t where it needs to be. I joined the foundation because I really believe we have a chance to impact, over time, the way technology is developed to include accessibility as a first-class citizen.”
GAAD Founding Sponsors
We are eternally grateful to our latest Founding Sponsors: Diamond, Intel, Sony Pictures and Twitter. These are tech companies who believe in our mission and vision and who have chosen to step forward early on with generous financial support as the foundation takes flight. Is your company aligned with the mission and vision of the GAAD Foundation? Contact Chris Gaulin if you want to step forward and be counted as a Founding Sponsor.
