Gaadys nomination guidelines
Nominee must be a project team, company, or individual who has created an outstanding digital product, application, or website that demonstrates a commitment to integrating accessibility at every stage of the product development lifecycle—from concept and design to implementation and launch.
- To be considered, the digital product or technology must have been released no earlier than 2023 and must be in production/available for use today.
- The applicant must:
- describe how the team prioritized accessibility throughout the ideation, design, development, testing, and/or launch processes (e.g., included user stories with people with disabilities, included accessibility as part of Definition of Done, performed accessibility testing with which tools); and
- attest that the digital product or technology, to the best of their knowledge, conforms to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1/V2.2 Level A & AA, or other recognized accessibility industry standards (e.g., for games or kiosk accessibility)
- Accessibility must be baked into the product development process, and this must be demonstrated through your application responses and supporting documentation.
- We will not accept nominations that utilize accessibility overlays (what are accessibility overlays?).
