How to enter

The Gaady Awards celebrate significant advancements in digital accessibility, recognizing those dedicated to building inclusive technology for everyone.

Gaadys nomination guidelines

Nominee must be a project team, company, or individual who has created an outstanding digital product, application, or website that demonstrates a commitment to integrating accessibility at every stage of the product development lifecycle—from concept and design to implementation and launch.

  1. To be considered, the digital product or technology must have been released no earlier than 2023 and must be in production/available for use today.
  2. The applicant must:
    1. describe how the team prioritized accessibility throughout the ideation, design, development, testing, and/or launch processes (e.g., included user stories with people with disabilities, included accessibility as part of Definition of Done, performed accessibility testing with which tools); and
    2. attest that the digital product or technology, to the best of their knowledge, conforms to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1/V2.2 Level A & AA, or other recognized accessibility industry standards (e.g., for games or kiosk accessibility)
  3. Accessibility must be baked into the product development process, and this must be demonstrated through your application responses and supporting documentation.
  4. We will not accept nominations that utilize accessibility overlays (what are accessibility overlays?).

Selection criteria

The Gaady Awards champion the essential work of making digital spaces accessible. Established to reshape how technology is developed, these awards honor individuals and organizations integrating accessibility as a fundamental principle. We acknowledge pioneering efforts and outstanding achievements that ensure digital products are usable by all. These recognitions underscore a collective commitment to a truly inclusive digital world.
